When looking for a new job, it can be important to remember that the job is only a part of your life. Where you will live can be a big part of the decision to take or decline the job. Because of this, CNN has compiled a list of the top one hundred places to live.

In seventh place is Round Rock, TX. While this was once upon a time a small suburb of Austin, it has grown into its own. Contributing to this is affordable housing, a great school system, and the presence of Dell Computers. This provides the city with a large number of jobs and a great place to raise a family. In addition, the median price of a Round Rock home is just under $194,000.

Round Rock also boasts a good deal of entertainment and shopping. The city has its own baseball team, the Round Rock Express, and has a premium outlet mall and an Ikea. There are also two golf courses, Lake Travis, and the city of Austin is only minutes away.

In eighth place is the dual Columbia and Elliot City, MD. In this city, the old meets the new. Elliot City is steeped in history with a Main Street full of antique shops and teahouses. Columbia is a new one of the newest residential areas in the state and is home to high powered tech companies like Arbitron, Merkle and Northrop Grumman. The median home price is $355,000.
